Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why can't I hear WMGT during certain times of the day and\or year?

A: WMGT is required by the Federal Communications Commission to reduce power when the sun sets. Because AM radio signals change and\or drift when the sun sets, the government gives different "classifications" to different radio stations. WMGT is one of those station's required to reduce power so that we do not interfere with other radio stations in other parts of the country.
